Simon Spurr

Simon Spurr is a british designer based out of New York, whose Spurr brand has been up and running since 06. The Spurr brand is a product of his time working for and being under the tutelage of Heidi Silmane (Yves Saint Lauren), Calvin Klein and consulting for Ralph Lauren among others. I'm not going to act like I knew about Spurr but his designs to me are just like Band of Brothers where the attire brings it back to the classic simple crisp and clean formal wear. He is also young so he will use David Bowie album covers and reference Jimi Hendrix's stage apparel for inspiration and come up with a straightforward collection but with some sexiness and flare of a rock-star. Spurr believes in a complex style of taking the cleanliness and solid style of the past and modernizing it; tailoring to perfection but then adding some street edgy youthful energy. To Spurr its all about confidence and he believes a man should still be able to stay true to their DNA while in luxury clothes.

Just stumbled across a very interesting brand of clothing T.I.T.S ( Two In The T-shirt),the Seatle based clothing company is the epitome of I guess being provocative and of course using the foolproof way of selling things; sex. Well not exactly "sex" but using a deep appreciation for the female anatomy as the center of their designs, meaning each concept focuses a specific model and specific fantasy. Since being launched in 06 through a surprised positive reaction the brand has grown from just men's t-shirts to women's t-shirts and accessories. Definitely one to check out
