The March Continues...

I've never been a bragger or a boaster but one thing is I believe and I understand circumstance. The Celtics have reinvigorated themselves and have booked themselves a date with either Phoenix of Los Angeles in the NBA Finals. Wade, Bron-Bron and now Dwight and the South Beach version of the Big Three have been reaquinated with the Celtics that started the season 23-5 and were in my book the best "team". I noted certain things when the playoffs started (not just saying it now) and those event have come into fruition. I hope it is duly noted that this starting five has not lost a playoff series as Doc Rivers noted and the hunger is in their eyes again but it aint over until that Larry O'Brien trophy is taking a ride on a duckboat; so lets finish this thing off Celtics.

Ladies and gentlemen present to you Craig Sager; an analyst for Turner Sports who mostly interviews TNT and TBS' coverage of basketball and baseball. He has a knack of wearing some funky looking suits which are part funny, weird and sometimes interesting with that being said though if I meet Craig the one things that would cross my mind is Bruce Bruce saying , "it looks good on you". Something has to be said though about him wearing this, it has established him as a personality and really adds the color in color commentary.

Maloof Money Cup

The Maloof Money Cup is a three day festival/showcase held by Palms Resort Casino and Sacramento Kings owners Joe and Gavin Maloof which invites amateur skaters to take part in mens and women's skating competitions. Starting in 2008 the likes of Paul Rodriguez, Shaun White and Bob Burnquist have all taken part in the the pursuit of prizes from a purse worth $450,000. This year the skaters are set to compete June 5-6 at a skate plaza being set up in Flushing Meadows Corona Park (New York).

This has got to be one of the dopest commercials I have seen in while and as I watched it two things went across my crazy mind. First it donned on me that the Nike advertising division has been doing it for years but you would hope so from someone as major as them. Nike's advertising focuses on the end result of performing, being active and of course just doing it; they offer a premier roster of world class athletes as the standard but also deliver the message that the common man can do it with their product and the end result has been some masterpiece print and visual ads. The second was a more personal feeling because what is being depicted in the ad is something we should all do in lives; seizing moments to write our own future. With the World Cup the moves you make can make you a revered God in your country or deflate their hopes. From time to time I see the two paths I can go down in terms of my dreams and where it goes if I go towards them or give up on them, this gives a sense of ownership in terms of writing one's future; the aspirations of a Champion or self-defeat..
