“Life is an art form,” “The way you dress, the way you talk, the way you write, the way you move, music just bottles that all and gives us another medium to express it through. Kev and I just made our vocation our vacation because it’s what we love to do.” Zulu Faz

Top 5 Females Mcs Of All Time

1. Lauryn Hill - I'm not even speaking on how great of singer/actress/producer she was I'm just talking about the MC Lauryn Hill. No other female can touch her she's even in my top 10 MC List (male and female). I can take her verses from The Fugees Albums "Blunted On Reality" and "The Score" and put them up against anyone that's out rapping right now and niggas from back then old school new school. I mean just this one line will kill any MC other there. "And even after all my logic and my theory I add a motherfucker so you ig'nant niggaz hear me" Case closed!

2. Queen Latifah - She is Rap Royalty, Queen Latifah set a lot of standards in the game not to even mention Flava Unit which opened up the doors for acts such as Outkast, Tribe Called Quest to mention a few. She had that raw rap and not mention she represented Africa where I'm from she was not afraid to express this in her lyrics. I love the Queen and feel like people sleep on one of the ladies who laid the blueprint for these female rappers.

3. Lil Kim - Lil Kim is fucking dope! I know she was my teenage sex fantasy but underneath all those raunchy lyrics she was a skilled lyricist, very very skilled. Now niggas can talk all that shit about how biggie wrote her rhymes "we don't believe youuu, you need more people". Even after Biggie died she was still killing it i.e. Quiet Storm Remix, "The Notorious K.I.M" album. I've been stuck on KIM I mean when I picked up that Junior Mafia tape man I was in love. She killed her verse on Junior Mafia "Get Money". A lot of people get caught up in the image factor but she places her words like a poet on most of her verses.

4. Mc Lyte - Now some people will be very salty about where I placed Mc Lyte but she didn't impact me as much the latter 3 Mcs mentioned. Don't get me wrong Mc Lyte is cold! That's why shes always on everybody's list for top 5 female Mcs of all time. To me she was ahead of her time and her style set the blueprint for Lil Kim and Foxy Brown even though they made it ultra sexy. I first really dug deep into Mc Lyte circa 1996 1997, went back and delved into her catalog. I haven't listened to her in a long time so soon I will be blazing iTunes to repurchase those albums.

5. Rah Digga - I LOVE RAH DIGGA! She never had the chance to blossom at all. I first heard her on Flipmode's "Cha Cha Cha" she was like "Digga, Digga First name Rahshea Sweetest person had no idea". I copped her first album and that shit was Fire. She never got the chance to expose her talents but she did enough to change my perspective on female mcs, thus she made my top 5.

Ghana over the U.S

The Black-Stars of Ghana have once again knocked the US out of the World Cup; you talk about being torn between cheering for a team. It was just funny to think being from Zimbabwe, to the people of Ghana you are not specifically from Ghana but the continent and their egos come in to play and to the Americans you weren't born here so it was hard to say I was going to satisfied with either side winning. But with that being said my DNA tilted towards Ghana and Africa still has hope in the tournament.

Levi's® Pioneer Sessions: John Legend & the Roots

Dr.J

You have your Russells, Big Os, Pistol Petes, Wilt the Stilts, and all the guys who started the traditional foundation of basketball way before my time. But when it comes to the flair and excitement of the modern game we enjoy today you have to come across a thought of Dr. J; sure Larry vs. Bird elevated the game's competitive spirit and Jordan took it past the stratosphere, the excitement all first came from Dr. J who made the game exciting and molded the criteria of today's exciting plays. When the NBA had marquee teams it didn't have marque players and Dr. J was among on the biggest draws of the 70s; he was their Lebron if you didnt know anything about basketball you at least knew about Erving. He is one of the players I have had to learn to admire because at often times we think of now and people walk around like they know everything and have experienced it all.

Wet t-shirt Wednesday!! Bipasha Basu

Due to me always finding ways to incorporate an international sense into my music I have been watching lots of Bollywood Movies. Now it started off as just research pure research and wanting to experience a different sound but now I am addicted to Bollywood Movies and lets say my addiction stems from the beautiful women.

So I've been doing more research on some of the leading ladies in Bollywood and one caught my eye Bipasha Basu! She has a very ethnic and classy look to her and she can act. I mean the subtitles don't tell me much but you can see the passion, But above all she's sexy. Enjoy!!

Formal Friday

As we all know the Celtics fell within four points of getting banner number 18 and as a time tested Celtic fan all you can do is applaud them because after Christmas this team was never supposed to be here but that's a story for another day. I've found another excuse to post something about sports and suits and focus on coaching once again. With the loss the Celtics expiration date on Ainge's mastermind deal of acquiring Garnett and Allen and infusing hungry veterans has come. With that in mind many people might departing with expiring contract and all that I never get into, but however among them might be Doc Rivers. The coach who after having a 24-58 season record was given two superstars along with an incumbent one only to gel a Championship team, make it to the conference finals the next and push a defending champion to 7 games. He has helped a stale franchise become relevant again and added to Boston's amazing sports team resume a city that now has played for eight championships in the last nine years and 12 conference or league title games (that should get your head up from sulking). It is not to forgotten that Doc coached the Celts 3 years before the 2008 season in which even thought the stats don't show had his players playing hard for example the progression of Al Jefferson and had to deal with teams that weren't solid. he has helped in the progression of Tony Allen's defense, Big Baby's game, and of course the launch of Rondo into the stars. After hearing Doc talk it seemed like he was bidding farewell and I think Rivers was fuel to the championship drives during his tenure. With a foggy future ahead I appreciate the great coaching Rivers has done because who know the Celtics might be in rebuilding mode without him; but for our franchise he was just what the doc prescribed.
