Top 5 Females Mcs Of All Time

1. Lauryn Hill - I'm not even speaking on how great of singer/actress/producer she was I'm just talking about the MC Lauryn Hill. No other female can touch her she's even in my top 10 MC List (male and female). I can take her verses from The Fugees Albums "Blunted On Reality" and "The Score" and put them up against anyone that's out rapping right now and niggas from back then old school new school. I mean just this one line will kill any MC other there. "And even after all my logic and my theory I add a motherfucker so you ig'nant niggaz hear me" Case closed!

2. Queen Latifah - She is Rap Royalty, Queen Latifah set a lot of standards in the game not to even mention Flava Unit which opened up the doors for acts such as Outkast, Tribe Called Quest to mention a few. She had that raw rap and not mention she represented Africa where I'm from she was not afraid to express this in her lyrics. I love the Queen and feel like people sleep on one of the ladies who laid the blueprint for these female rappers.

3. Lil Kim - Lil Kim is fucking dope! I know she was my teenage sex fantasy but underneath all those raunchy lyrics she was a skilled lyricist, very very skilled. Now niggas can talk all that shit about how biggie wrote her rhymes "we don't believe youuu, you need more people". Even after Biggie died she was still killing it i.e. Quiet Storm Remix, "The Notorious K.I.M" album. I've been stuck on KIM I mean when I picked up that Junior Mafia tape man I was in love. She killed her verse on Junior Mafia "Get Money". A lot of people get caught up in the image factor but she places her words like a poet on most of her verses.

4. Mc Lyte - Now some people will be very salty about where I placed Mc Lyte but she didn't impact me as much the latter 3 Mcs mentioned. Don't get me wrong Mc Lyte is cold! That's why shes always on everybody's list for top 5 female Mcs of all time. To me she was ahead of her time and her style set the blueprint for Lil Kim and Foxy Brown even though they made it ultra sexy. I first really dug deep into Mc Lyte circa 1996 1997, went back and delved into her catalog. I haven't listened to her in a long time so soon I will be blazing iTunes to repurchase those albums.

5. Rah Digga - I LOVE RAH DIGGA! She never had the chance to blossom at all. I first heard her on Flipmode's "Cha Cha Cha" she was like "Digga, Digga First name Rahshea Sweetest person had no idea". I copped her first album and that shit was Fire. She never got the chance to expose her talents but she did enough to change my perspective on female mcs, thus she made my top 5.
