Zulu Faz and Dj Burn One - Dreamin
"Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase", was something said by a civil rights leader and clergyman you might know by the name of Martin Luther King Jr. I believe in having a dream and going after it not matter the magnitude and throughout the existence we have seen man prevail after having faith. So for track 5 off Rhode Scholar Volume 1 "Dreamin" (yes without the g you know us rappers and our grammar) we decided to visit the King Center (first time) and put a little something together for a quick visual. In no way am I comparing my dream to Dr. Kings' but I just wanted to show what faith can accomplish and show how quick we can find inspiration and seeing the results of having it no matter what you dream of.

Zulu Faz - 16+ "Rod Strickland"
Zulu Faz - 16+ “Rod Strickland”
In the second viral for my 16+ series is Rod Strickland shot back home in Worcester Massachusetts at a childhood landmark of mine Crystal Park, wait scratch that somebody decided to call it University Park. Anyways the idea for Rod Strickland sparked from listening to some Wu and Raekwon ends his verse on Triumph by saying “Max mostly, undivided, then slide in, sickenin/Guaranteed, made em jump like Rod Strickland” and then I just wrote some shit because I thought saying Rod Strickland sounded jazzy. Once again produced by Kaotiq Simfoni and directed by Zimbabwe Kev 16+ “Rod Strickland”.

I'm Too Epic To Fail
We are BACK! My bro Zulu and I have been working. Sometimes that's not the most legit excuse to use when it comes to abusing waistup but we have. I've been on tumblr a lot, retumbling in the wee hours of the morning but that's what I use to cool off the steam of my hectic days and it helps my mind wind down. But this is a quick still from a video we just shot titled "Dreamin" which is off the Dj Burn One mixtape Rhode Scholar Vol.1 we should be dropping the video soon but I promise we shall be back on our waistup grizzle. I love this shirt because I know that Zulu and I we are too epic to fail, the world will see it.

Now I guess this formal thing knows no seasons because formal fashion during the summer still consists of suits and blazers and that would leave someone like me drenched in sweet but I understand fashion is fashion I just wanted to emphasize how hot it it out here. But in the continuing tips of what to wear during the summer and what is in and out Esquire offer a quick list and here of course are my favorites.

Formal Friday
The thing I like about fashion as I think I've mentioned before is putting forth the minimal for the high standard. Suits should be simple and straight to the point but a designer has to add a touch that will make it theirs. I've always heard of Yves Saint Laurent mentioned here and there is some Kanye songs and I've seen their ads and that is the epitome of high life, even so it is all so simple and sometimes adventurous and he does introduce big idea but I'm so into the Beatles look slim cut suits that you see on the bottom. Sometimes minimal is the way to go.

Greedmont Park Magazine #3 [Summer 2011]
e create things, we break things and it is all respected. Across the bridge, however, we can be misunderstood and if the monglers are really colorful, we’re abominations. I guess, only a select few individuals can see the king’s new wardrobe and maybe, that’s for the best. Do we really give a fuck? Probably not. So, we chatted with celebrated misfit, Lupe Fiasco and bubbling, Brooklyn-raised new comer, Theophilus London. We highlight events that unify us all as humans like the disaster in Japan and the killing of one of the world’s most notorious terrorist, Osama Bin Laden.
Our online followers are lucky enough to see it first! Bundles of hard copies are being mass produced by our printer and distributed across America (more specifically NY, LA, SF and ATL) as we speak! Welcome to Greedmont Park magazine where we celebrate keeping your natural hair color when everyone else is on a blonde streak. Where we to highlight those ostracized, tortured (and sometimes killed), and celebrated for being a bit left of center. We say, let them eat cake.

Formal Friday
For this Formal Friday I just wanted to give a quick salute to former Celtics Assistant coach and this year's Coach of the Year for the Chicago Bulls Tom Thibodeau who bowed out last night to the Miami Heat. After leaving the Celtics Thibs took the open seat for the man in the suit running the Bulls team that had courted Dwyane Wade and Lebron James only to land Carlos Boozer and a bunch of platoon players to go along with emerging point guard Derrick Rose who eventually became this year's MVP. Lost in the shuffle the Bulls were a dark-horse not being put in the race between the reigning Eastern Champs Celtics, Heat and even behind the Magic but they emerged with the best record in the league. Thibs brought his defensive mindset and the Bull's chemistry led to a run to the Eastern Conference Championship bout with Heat where they team picked the wrong time to go on thier first losing streak of more than 3 games this season. With that being said the years of his focus and creating a credible resume and bringing a passion for coaching on the table to me has turned Chicago into a contender this series can only make everyone better and its just their first year so I look to seeing the Bulls among the top teams of the league moving forward; a star player, a great coach and defense
